The call for submissions is now open for the 2008 Big Bang Film Festival (BBFF). BBFF is a celebration of exciting and inventive films in the Action, Adventure, Suspense and Asian Action Cinema genres. BBFF also welcomes documentary submissions featuring extreme sports and athletic events, activities and competitions which have contributed some of the most entertaining video of death defying speed, skill and daring. Each year Big Bang Film Festival showcases amazing films, some classics, some classics in the making.

Paul Schrader, director and screenwriter, will be Drexel University's guest for a three-day residency from April 14th-16th. Schrader, a 2008 Rankin Scholar-in-Residence, will visit and work with students and faculty in classes, and he will also screen his film The Comfort of Strangers. Schrader directed this 1990 release which starred Helen Mirren and Christopher Walken in a Harold Pinter adaptation of an Ian McEwan novel. The screening, which is free and open to the public, will be on April 15th at 7 PM in the Bossone Auditorium. Q&A to follow
