Scribe is seeking proposals from individual artists and community groups to create new media works for eSights, eSounds that comment on social, political and cultural issues affecting the Philadelphia region. eSights, eSounds participants will be use new technologies — cell phones, interactive websites, video games, podcasts, blogs and wikis – as creative tools to tell their story.
Attend this presentation organized by eSights, eSounds project coordinators Anula Shetty and Mike Kutemeyer. Local artists will be showing and discussing their New Media work including: Rana Sindhikara (multimedia artist) will present and talk about a community web project she did with Cosa Cosa. John Phillips and Carolyn Healy (installation art) will talk about their process in creating large site specific installations. Matthew Fisher (interactive installations) will talk about touch screen installations and other interactive technologies. Laura Deutch (multimedia artist) – exploring personal and community connections through web projects. Mike Kutemeyer (multimedia artist) of Termite TV will discuss one of the installations he has made for Termite TV.
