Editing Translation into Existing Video & more

For February and part of March - possible additional projects. Earn while you learn Final Cut Pro. Minimum Wage freelance intern. Need editing intern - to edit Spanish training video - very straight forward no effects needed, so very good for beginners. Another project is adding Portuguese sound track to existing videos. (If you understand Spanish, you'll understand enough Portuguese to do this) All is already shot and voiced. Just need to edit and you'll be shown basic editing skills in Final Cut to do this. Subject matter is alternative psychology training videos called EFT and Matrix Reimprinting.

Media - walking distance from 101 trolley. Home office with a dog. Lunch included. Flexible schedule. School credit can be arranged.

Television Intern

Students are wanted to complete an internship on a variety of interesting Philadelphia communication initiatives, events, convention support, web based projects and social media campaigns.

Responsibilities include video development for: 6th Annual Global Fusion Festival & Week, treatments, advertising/animation ads, coordination with design firm, creating promotional spots, web- based advertising; updating websites and e-blast communications/design, Festival Wrap up video, creation of TV psa?s and commercials, webisodes, and sponsor video support; Social networking efforts; creating social media campaigns via web and event sites; Assist with festival outreach and street team sponsor video; Assisting in managing external sponsor marketing commitments, and develop marketing relationships with external media and marketing partners both local and national.

For Convention support: Create web-episodes for conventions with attendees and leadership to increase awareness. Assist producer in scheduling interviews with national and local participants and help with shooting/script writing/editing process for two official music videos for Philadelphia and a convention testimonial campaign. (MUST have an open-mind to a variety of music genres and the entertainment industries) (Knowledge of Philadelphia is a plus)

This is an UNPAID position, but GREAT experience is guaranteed. Transportation reimbursement is provided.

The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau and its Multicultural Affairs Congress (MAC) division, is the official tourism promotion agency for the City of Philadelphia, showcasing Philadelphia as a top multicultural convention and tourist destination.

Arts & Business Council: Spring 2012 Communications and Marketing INTERN

Internship Structure and Outcomes

The Spring Intern will work with and be supervised by the Operations and Marketing Manager. The Spring Intern will assist with communications planning and execution. The intern will glean experience with professional use of email, print and new media as tools to promote the programs, events and philanthropic purpose of the Arts & Business Council.

The Spring Intern will have the opportunity to work with the Programs staff at appreciation and outreach events for business volunteers and members of the arts community. The Intern will also gain exposure to complex database systems and grants and development documents.

Through this internship, the selected Intern will strengthen communication skills, work in a collaborative setting, understand the structure of a non-profit organization, and gain exposure to the arts and corporate sectors. The Spring Intern will be invited to attend Arts & Business Council and Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce staff meetings.

Strong written and oral communication skills and office experience are essential, including the ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments or projects at a single time. Social media literacy required. Some arts interest or experience preferred.

Start date: February 1
End date: May 31

Feature Film Seeking Producer's Assistant

Local feature film, Future Weather, is seeking an intern interested in feature film production to act as an assistant to the producer during post-production. The film team is led by a small group so we are looking for highly motivated, talented and experienced interns. We are currently entering the 2012 festival circuit, so it is a very busy and exciting time for the film. The selected applicant MUST have the following: Assistant experience (producer asst. preferred, but administrative is acceptable), excellent organizational skills, a car or access to public transportation, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google docs, professional phone and e-mail etiquette, and ability to do quick research as well as manage producer's calendar. Film experience is not needed, but preferred.

Film script has won various high profile contests and stars name actors. A great opportunity for a hard worker looking to get into film!
Aspiring producers are encouraged to apply. This internship is unpaid, but could lead to great networking opportunities.

Time Commitment:
Available to begin ASAP. At least 1 day a week in office. School credit available.

Creative Services Summer Internship - Camden Riversharks

The summer internship program with the Camden Riversharks is one of the most exceptional and beneficial internships in the sports industry. It provides an opportunity to learn about many facets of the professional sports world through hands on experience. In addition to learning about the creative services side of the team, Camden Riversharks interns will have the opportunity to gain experience with the events and business side of the operation as well. By working home games during the season, interns will interact with fans and apply what they have learned to actual game day situations. By the end of the season, interns will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience working in:

· Video Production
· Video Editing (if desired)
· Camera Operating
· Graphic Design (if desired)
· Operating Press Box Equipment
· On Field PA Announcing (if desired)

The main responsibility of our creative services staff is to put on a great show and keep our fans entertained! This is done through the videos, music, and slides we create and prepare for game days. We can also help promote the Riversharks by creating videos for the website to help fans see what we?re all about.

PhillyCAM Winter Internship

PhillyCAM is currently seeking highly qualified students to assist in production and administration areas. These internships are ideal for individuals interested in gaining experience in non-profit arts administration and digital video production.

Eligibility: A candidate must be a high school, undergraduate or graduate student. Internships for high school students are only offered during Fall and Winter/Spring semesters. Students receiving academic credit or service-learning hours for their internship are strongly encouraged to apply.

Application Procedures:
Candidates must complete an internship application form and submit it with a resume and cover letter, which clearly indicates why the student is interested in an internship at PhillyCAM. Application forms can be downloaded from phillycam.org. Applicants interested in assisting with production activities are required to submit a demo reel of his/her current media work. Broadcast Internships @ Children's Hospital

The Media Programs department of CHOP is currently accepting applications for the following internship opportunities. This department encompasses all of CHOP's Child Life initiatives with multimedia, including program licensing and production of new original shows for the hospital wide closed-circuit television network (Channel 51), management and staffing for The Voice (a state of the art in-house radio studio from the Ryan Seacrest Foundation), and new media development. The Voice, which launched July 2011, regularly hosts celebrity guests and produces a hours of live radio-on-tv programming each week. Some guests recently appearing in the studio were Miranda Cosgrove, Selena Gomez, Cee Lo, Hot Chelle Rae, and Keri Hilson.
The goal of all media programs is to provide programming that is interactive, educational, entertaining, and therapeutic for patients. Many of the live broadcasts include opportunities for patient participation either in-studio or through bedside call-in. Child Life aims to provide a sense of normalcy, community, and distraction for all children, some of which have considerably long hospital stays and critical illnesses. All applicants should be comfortable with both this environment and in working with children.

Our internships provide students with an opportunity to have hands-on work with all facets of media production, including DJ-ing radio shows and conducting guest interviews, while truly making a difference in the children's lives.
