Filmmaker Spotlight Filmmaker Jamie Moffett In 2004, Moffett formed Jamie Moffett Media Design & Production in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. His first project was a three part series Another World is Possible which focuses on subjects: War, Poverty and the Environment. The series follows the efforts of Shane Claiborne and the Simple Way Community from the streets of Philadelphia to Iraq to highlight a beautiful harmony of songs and images, teaching and story telling, which unveil the tragic realities of our fragile world and the incredible hope that another world is possible. Moffett's first feature documentary, The Ordinary Radicals, addresses faith and politics during the 2008 election year. Well received, the film screened in over thirty cities and half a dozen film festivals. Return to El Salvador, narrated by Martin Sheen, is Moffett's second documentary and follows three couples in their journey after a 12 year civil war in El Salvador. The film documents the interplay between the Salvadoran people and the U.S. politics and policies that directly influenced this Central American country. Watch the first seven minutes here. A portion of Return to El Salvador screens in front of Canadian Parliament June 15, 2010, with the World Premiere in Toronto June 17, 2010. The film will have it's Philadelphia Premiere as part of the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival June 23- 27, 2010. Moffett is currently in production on a third documentary, The Gospel of Rutba, which follows an American peace activist and Iraq war veteran to a western Iraq desert outpost in the midst of an on going war.
