Filmmaker Spotlight Gary E. Irwin, Director, "Of Darkness"In October of 2006, director Gary E. Irwin and his independent film company, Eventide Productions, unleashed the award-winning, critically acclaimed horror short film, "Of Darkness". Since then, the short film has been taking the festival circuit by storm, screening at premiere horror festivals like The NYC Horror Film Festival, Eerie Horror Film Festival and the H.P. Lovecraft Festival. With over twenty "Official Selections" total, "Of Darkness" was also nominated twelve times for "Best Short Film" and brought home seven awards. Dubbed by critics as "20-minutes of pure suspense driven horror" and "a super-concentrated burst of suspense & terror" by Film Threat, the film is now available in a Collector's Edition DVD with loads of special features. Included with the film is the behind-the-scenes featurette "The Other Side Of Darkness", with never before seen footage of the cast and crew on set as well as interviews with the filmmakers. Audio commentaries, storyboard comparisons, trailer, and production stills round out the special features on the DVD, which is on sale now through Eventide's online storefront.
