Filmmaker SpotlightKathilynn Phillips, Writer/Director/Producer, screening at FirstGlance Kathilynn PhillipsKathilynn Phillips, founder of Kat Scratch Films, has been a full time writer, producer and director in Pennsylvania for the last five years. During that time, Ms. Phillips has written, produced and directed 5 short film projects (including 2 multiple award-winning projects), is currently in post-production with her first feature project, Chasing the White Dragon, and has authored over a dozen screenplays. Ms. Phillips' screenplay Space Available, The Feature was a 2006 Nicholl Fellowship semifinalist. Her films are targeted toward culturally diverse audiences and include cast, crew and storylines that highlight the rich diversity of America. Currently, Ms. Phillips' short film, Katrina's Wake, screens at the FirstGlance Film Festival on Saturday, October 6th at 5 PM. Katrina's Wake is the fictional story of a family who seeks refuge in their attic from the rising flood waters of Hurricane Katrina, only to be trapped there for five days awaiting rescue. No food.
