Alana

Posted on February 26, 2010

Diamond Entertainment Productions is currently accepting resumes from non-union crew members for its upcoming short film production tentatively entitled "Alana". Filming is intended to begin late April/early May. Auditions are tentatively scheduled for early April. At this time, all crew positions are unpaid. Crew will be given on-screen credit, copies of the film, and meals. Payments may be offered to crew in the future, but are not guaranteed. If you are interested in any of the positions listed below please send your resume to employment@diamondep.com and include the position you are interested in. All resumes will be kept on file for future project as well. Thank you.

Synopsis
Alana was brought into the world filled with love and adoration, especially from her father. As she grows the men in her life slowly strip away all that is good, pure, and beautiful, leaving only wretched despair. It's not the weight of the burden, but the strength of the person carrying it. Though trivial to some, Alana's burdens prove to be deadly. We journey through her darkness to see the light that preceded it and the actions that ruined it. The sins for the father pass to the son, what about the daughter?

HEXE

Posted on January 29, 2010

We have been describing HEXE as an Amish Horror movie set during the Amish custom of Rumspringa, during which the Amish youth are free to engage in rebellious behavior before deciding to commit to Amish life, or not. This is also typically the time for courtship in which many will find a spouse. In other words you've got horny Amish teens running around engaging in sex, drugs and rock and roll! Throw in a little bit of witchcraft and devil worship and you've got yourself a great setting for a movie.

HEXE Productions believes that we have a great film that can be made on the weekends starting in March through April, 2010.

This is a no-pay job. Can offer meals, copy, screen credit and compensation if we sell the film.

We are looking for crew of all types, from production, art department, make-up and special effects to Grip/Electrics, wardrobe, and locations.

Owning your own equipment is a bonus but not essential except for personal kits in order to perform your job function.

Several Above-The-Line personnel on HEXE are well connected within the Philly area film community and will be looking for ways to reward good work in the form of referrals, connections to other professional filmmakers, and ongoing mentoring.

The core filmmakers of HEXE are regular folks with careers and families and we will bring the same level of maturity and professionalism to this project that we do to our regular lives. We expect that anyone coming on board will conduct themselves the same way, while also having an open mind and a "Can Do" attitude.

Shooting will be mostly conducted on the weekends however anyone interested in helping with pre-production should expect to do some work during the weekdays. This will not require you to abandon your current job/school/jail stint.

We will also be shooting nights from time to time and we will guarantee that those will be the most fun since we will not want everyone to be miserable while working on our movie for free.

Please send us an email at the address below with at least a contact number and a resume if you've got one.
