GPFO seeks Marketing & Multicultural Affairs Director

The Greater Philadelphia Film Office (GPFO) is a "film commission" representing southeastern Pennsylvania that officially serves the counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia. A nonprofit economic development agency committed to the growth of the regional film production industry, GPFO has been responsible for impacting the local economy with nearly $3 billion since 1992. Our mission is threefold. First, we serve to attract film & video production to the region, including everything from feature films to TV commercials to music videos and industrial films. Second, we provide the producer free assistance with parking, permits, labor and locations, and generally act as the liaison between the productions and the local community, cutting red tape as we go. Finally, we serve to grow the local film and video industry in every way possible, recognizing its huge economic impact in job creation and its unparalleled public relations effects for the region.

GPFO is currently seeking a Marketing & Multicultural Affairs Director to serve the organization?s mission through creative branding and partnership building. This is a fast-paced and exciting environment with a close-knit team that enjoys working collaboratively.

Job Description
The responsibilities of the Marketing Director consist of communication with the local film community via e-mail blasts, Web 2.0 social networks, and message dissemination with help of PR consultant. This position also includes multi-media & graphic design, database & website content management, event planning, and production of the Greater Philadelphia Film & Video Production Guide. Marketing Director oversees Philadelphia Movie Sites Tour, GreenerSETS program, GPFO Merchandise, and "Executive Producer" direct mailings.

As Multicultural Affairs Director, this position involves organizing events and identifying resources to engage a multicultural audience of filmmakers, cultural organizations, educational institutions, and social networking groups. The Director of Multicultural Affairs works to incorporate and address diversity and inclusiveness in local filmmaking. This position reports to the GPFO Executive Director and works closely with the Director of Greater Philadelphia Filmmakers to coordinate programs and local outreach.

Marketing Duties:
-Manage Annual Advertising/ Promotional/ Fundraising Campaigns:
* Greater Philadelphia Film & Video Production Guide
* "Executive Producers" charitable contribution campaign
* Philadelphia Movie Sites Tour
* Merchandise Sales
* GreenerSETS

- Develop Strategic Partnership opportunities with local businesses & vendors to subsidize operational expenses

- Promote & Carry out deliverables for Philadelphia Movies Sites Tour:
* Maintain compliance with PNC Arts Alive Grant
* Drive online/ offline Promotional/ Press/ Marketing Campaigns in conjunction with the launch of the tour
* Collaborate with Specialty Solutions to manage the casting, script, and tour DVD updates

-Develop Programming alongside Greater Philadelphia Filmmakers

-Design and Fulfillment of Marketing, Advertising, & Promotional Materials

-Spearhead efforts to implement sustainable practices during film production in the region as a part of the GreenerSETS program

-Coordinate Special Events and Projects (including, but not limited to the Annual Film Production Party)

Manage inventory of GPFO merchandise

-Perform routine Website Updates & Monthly traffic/statistical reports

-Solicitation of promotional photos and location pictures

-Attendance at relevant events in and around the city

-Manage mass direct mailings

Assist Film Office staff with miscellaneous Marketing Activities

-Conduct PR campaigns and regular Press List updates

Multicultural Affairs Responsibilities include:
- Expand communication efforts to engage a multicultural audience of filmmakers, cultural organizations, educational institutions, and social networking groups
- Organize workshops and networking events that incorporate and address diversity and inclusiveness in local filmmaking

Required Skills/ Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years marketing experience
- Proficient graphic design skills and knowledge of Adobe & Quark software
- Working knowledge of HTML code & general website content management
- Familiarity with sending email blasts via Aptana and Campaign Monitor
- Strong in Ad sales, Client relations, and Project management
