ASC names Philadelphian as winner of the 2010 Heritage Cinematography Award!
The American Society of Cinematographers has named Philadelphia born filmmaker, Benji Bakshi, winner of the 2010 Heritage Cinematography Award for his work on LIFE ON EARTH - his American Film Institute thesis film shot on super 16mm. This award is given to only one person in the country at the graduate level. Kudos to you Benji! Benji received his BA in Film and Media Arts from Temple University, where he met Jeff Powers, also from Philadelphia and a fellow colleague at AFI, who received honorable mention at this years ASC award ceremony.
