We need to CLOG the PHONES, FAX LINES & EMAIL INBOXES!!!Dear Friends of Film in PA! Yesterday, a group of filmmakers and crew, actors, business leaders and concerned legislators including Senator Jim Ferlo and Representative Mike Sturla held a demonstration on the Capitol steps to stress the importance of passing HB #1528 & HB #1529 and the impact on the future of filmmaking in PA. This is a critical time in the budget negotiations and the legislation is moving through the House. Our goal is to convince the legislators that they should pass these bills now!!! Don't forget that $500M worth of production and all the thousands of jobs they will create before the end of this year is waiting for this vote. Also, 3 developers are planning major film studios, a permanent infrastructure investment, in Pittsburgh, Scranton and the Delaware Valley that will all go away without the passage of this legislation. Its crunch time for the film industry in PA and the whole world is watching!
