Ben Daniels and “This is My Cheesesteak” at the FirstGlance Film Festival
Ben Daniels, Director, “This is my Cheesesteak”
en Daniels was born and raised in West Philadelphia and is a graduate of Syracuse University Film School. He won the Sleepless in Lake Placid 24 Hour Film Festival and was awarded the Robin Pell Emerging Filmmaker Award.
Daniels worked on feature films for six months while his senior thesis
This Is My Cheesesteak was submitted to festivals.
This is my Cheesesteak won the NYC Food Film Festival Audience Choice Award. After working on features, Daniels began working in Reality TV for Bunim/Murray Productions (creators of
Real World) and he’s currently working on the show
Keeping up with the Kardashians in Los Angeles, where he currently resides.
The milestone documentary,
This Is My Cheesesteak, explores the Philadelphia Cheesesteak beyond the realm of regional fast food specialty and searches for the meaning of the sandwich icon. Featuring the owners of the greatest steak shops in the world; Pat's, Geno's, Jim's, Steve's, Tony Luke's, and John's Roast Pork.
