Browntown Films
The start-up of Browntown Films in spring of 2005 was a bold endeavor for John and Kathlyn Hunt. They operate their film company in the heart of Bucks County in Doylestown, with a cadre of Philadelphia film makers, cast, and crew on call for upcoming projects.
Jersey Justice is John Charles Hunt's first feature film, a contemporary revenge thriller with a twisted edge starring Emmy- winner Blanche Baker and international star Bo Svenson.
Filmed in 25 days in October 2005 and summer 2006,
Jersey Justice is now doing the local art house run in the tri-state area to sell-out crowds. Grass roots marketing has helped get the word out about
Jersey Justice. Local businesses gave time, locations, and other important resources so they could get their first independent film to moviegoers.
The back story of
Jersey Justice is also heartwarming: John, a FedEx driver, made a leap of faith at the age of 47 to become a movie maker in the Philadelphia region because it was a lifelong dream. Kathlyn and John worked with the Greater Philadelphia Film Office and collaborated with veteran Philadelphia cinematographer Abe Holtz on
Jersey Justice.
