Marc Cantone
Marc Cantone graduated from Philadelphia’s The University of the Arts in 2001 with a BFA in Writing for Film & Television. He has written for Bill Cosby’s animated Nick at Nite series Fatherhood, legendary comedians Pat Cooper and Dom Irrera, and has completed a number of screenplays in various stages of development.
In 2004, Marc teamed up with Oscar winning documentarian James Moll, actor Donnie Wahlberg and the Endeavour Talent Agency to develop a documentary TV series he created about celebrity impersonators. Recently, Marc has partnered with The Hub Studios, a film & TV production company headed by executive producer Steve Carlis (Sling Blade, You Can Count on Me) to direct and produce a feature-length documentary film about a New York City blind bowling league.
Marc’s short-film C U T O U T stars Philadelphia legend Al Martino as an aging Italian-American crooner who refuses to get out of his estranged son’s swimming pool. This is Mr. Martino’s first film role since his famous portrayal of Johnny Fontane in The Godfather. C U T O U T is the first in a series of short films Cantone is making about people who get into swimming pools and can’t or won’t get out.
