Mixed Nuts Productions
In celebrating their 10th year anniversary (1995-2005), Mixed Nuts Productions produced their first feature film, TOWNSHIP and highly successful short film, If Occurrence.
TOWNSHIP, the new 90 minute comedy, has been met with great acclaim and loved by hundreds. TOWNSHIP tells the story of a novelist under pressure from his agent to come up with a sophomore follow up to his first book. To get away from the stress, he visits his hometown in South Jersey to find his lost inspiration. With an original musical score by Jonny Hakun of the popular Philadelphia area band, 39 Mariner, TOWNSHIP is a fun, exciting, and laugh filled look at South Jersey life.
The film has already won 3 awards at the First Annual Delaware Valley Film Festival (Best Lead Actress, Best Director and Best Feature Film) and screened at the New York International Independent Film Festival in November 2005. It will also be screening at the Garden State Film Festival on April 1 in Asbury Park, NJ.
Mixed Nuts Productions has also just completed a new short film entitled IF OCCURRENCE, shot entirely on location at MSB Plaza in Center City, Philadelphia during late December 2005. IF OCCURRENCE will be screening at the Garden State Film Festival on April 1 and also be screening at the Cannes Film Festival as part of the Short Film Corner, joining 7 other filmmakers known as The Philadelphia Short Filmmakers League.
