Posted on May 21, 2008

If you love movies and enjoy working with people, then we have a great job for you at the Bryn Mawr Film Institute. You’ll be working as a manager, which includes operating film projectors, interacting with our members and patrons, managing staff, and making sure that all the day-to-day operations in our movie theaters run smoothly.

A theater manager is scheduled for 4 or 5 days a week. This will include two weekend days and some holidays. The majority of hours are also in the evening and on weekends – that’s when people come to the movies!

This job requires a combination of strong technology, organizational and personal skills. You will be working with film projectors, as well as with computers and other high tech equipment. You will also be in charge of a staff of 5 or 6 people, and you will be interacting with our members and the public, so you must work well with people.
