Since we are receiving an ‘Element,’ which is strongly dictating our story choice, we cannot begin writing until the 1st day. (July 19th at 8:00pm) So we will be seeking someone with a lot of flexibility, creativity, speed, and drive.

We also do not currently have the finances to pay our writers so this is a NON-PAYMENT position. Still, the film is guaranteed screen-time so we can certainly provide exposure for you.

Foreign Exchange student doing his year long Senior Thesis on Bill Dickerson. He is a Business Ethics major. He is the Narrator of the show and we need someone with a very thick accent.

Feuding couple that refuses to take any responsibility for the mistakes they made during their marriage, the major reason they are divorcing.

-Pregnant Women – early 20s
Young Women who got dumped by the man of her dreams because she got pregnant. Now she has to cope with raising a kid on her own while living a life with no real ambition.

-Clowns 1,2,and 3 – Ages Unknown
They take the circus business serious, as evident from the fact that they always wear their make-up. Of course, the circus is about to close down and they need to save it as well as provide for their family. Two of them can only communicate through honking and whistle noises, while the third clown speaks with an Australian accent.

-Cop – mid 30s
This guy thinks he is the cream of the crop, and everyone should respect and give him what he wants.

-Janel Smith – early/mid 60s
A star lost in her own infamousy, Janel is fighting a drug addiction to regain weight so she can jump back onto the gravy train.

-Male Hippie/Female Hippie – late 20s/early 30s
Being raised in a household that belongs in the 70s, the only philosophy these kids abide by is peace, love and flower power. That means anything that goes against this philosophy is wrong and will not be tolerated.

Production Manager —- We are in need of someone with INITIATIVE & STAMINA, to help alleviate some of the physical burden of the writer/director/producer/DOP/production designer. Will work closely with director to manage all physical aspects of production. Responsibilities will include contacting cast/crew, drafting call sheets, prepping for location shoots, location scouting, assisting director to produce realistic schedules, making phone calls to potential sponsors, helping director stay within (no) budget — getting creative to keep costs low! As an ambitious project, there will be some real production challenges in store, but not without huge gains to be had. This is a stepping stone project for someone headed for a serious career in producing.

1st AD — to manage the set on shoot dates and keep the filming on schedule. Will work closely with Production Manager to ensure all elements of production are where they need to be for a smooth production.

Description of Project:
5 mins. HD. Brotherly Love is the story of a young boy growing up in North Philadelphia.

Young James doesn’t want to end up like many of the older guys he sees around his neighborhood: struggling, lacking a strong sense of purpose, some even dealing in drugs and violence. Rather, he dreams of playing college basketball, and getting an education. His older brother Marcus is his role model, but young James comes to a crossroads when Marcus forces him to help him break into a house. James must choose between his loyalty and obedience to his older brother and his desire to avoid becoming a delinquent.

Shooting:
August 2008, Philadelphia

James:
Young brother of Marcus. Thoughtful, resilient, caring. Looks up to Marcus in all he does. We are looking for a child actor, African-American, age 7-14.

Marcus:
Athletic, ambitious, restless. Marcus is known around the neighborhood. He is respected by the guys, and pursued by the ladies. We are looking for an actor, African-American, age 17-22.
