Riverwalk, Wilmington, Delaware

Located midway between Wilmington and Philadelphia, Delaware County blends rolling Pennsylvania countryside and turn-of-the-century small towns with waterfront industry, all close to the city.

Delaware County is neighborhoods with large Victorian homes on wide shaded streets; a restored business district complete with a trolley down the main street, anchored by a gleaming white courthouse.

Delaware County is the manicured sweeping lawns and luxury estates of the Main Line and rustic farm houses, mills and meadows that inspired three generations of Wyeths; extraordinary gardens, five arboreta, and miles of trails and woodlands.

You can find a working 18th century colonial farm on 112 acres with barns, orchards, gardens and farm animals or a Revolutionary War battlefield with headquarters, museums and reenactments; log cabins, a one room school house, a working grist mill, country estates and dozens of restored historic homes.

The county boasts a wildlife refuge, canoeing on the scenic Brandywine River, a working steam engine, 11 colleges, and a movie theatre completely restored to its 1920's splendor.

Delaware County provides an assortment of sites and scenery. Let us help you find the sites and services you need.
